Administrative Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator II)
Position Summary
The Cal Coast Student Financial Center (CCSFC) is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Coordinator to support daily operations, provide excellent front-line service, and oversee student staff. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, student-focused environment while balancing administrative, supervisory, and communication responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front Desk & Visitor Support: Greet and check in guests, provide professional assistance, direct visitors to counseling services, receive packages, and maintain a welcoming and organized reception area.
- Student Staff Hiring & Supervision: Lead the recruitment, selection, training, and oversight of Junior Counselors (JCs), including reviewing applications, participating in interviews, and monitoring performance.
- Virtual Center Operations: Oversee the smooth functioning of the CCSFC virtual center, including scheduling, managing the internal Google Site, posting daily updates, and submitting Student Employment Agreements (SEAs).
- Communications & Outreach: Manage CCSFC social media accounts (Instagram and Facebook), develop posts and campaigns, monitor engagement, and support marketing efforts for the Financial Literacy Program.
- Data & Reporting: Review and organize Zoom Traffic Reports, support the administration of satisfaction surveys, and assist with other data-driven projects to enhance service delivery.

Position Information
This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.
Department Summary
Enrollment Services is comprised of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, Office of the Registrar, Office of Evaluations, Prospective Student Services, Out-of-State Recruitment and Strategic Partnerships, International Recruitment, Class Schedule, Communications, and Financial Aid and Scholarships. Enrollment Services implements SDSU enrollment management policies and provides services to students from their initial point of interest in SDSU to their graduation.
The Cal Coast Student Financial Center (CCSFC's) focus is to provide centralized, individual financial case management and counseling to students, parents and families. The CCSFC maximizes the efficiency and effectiveness of the Financial Aid Office, the Scholarship Office and the University Bursar's Office by providing a scalable, 'one stop' shop approach to providing assistance with issues related to financial aid, scholarships and student billing regardless of where the students and staff physically are located.
The CCSFC will provide student and families with information related to the following areas:
- Financial Aid Application Assistance
- Financial Aid Resources- types of financial aid available
- Scholarship Application Processes
- Scholarship Resources- types of scholarships available
- SDSU Educational Costs- tuition, fee and housing costs
- Student Financial Aid Disbursements
- Student Billing Information
- Student Fee Waiver information and processes
- Financial Literacy Counseling in partnership with Cal Coast Credit Union

Education and Experience
Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally, incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite.
These qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience.

- Ability to exercise tact, discretion, and sound judgment in representing the Director, AVP, and University.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to shifting priorities, and work independently with initiative.
- Ability to collaborate and contribute positively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and professional presentation.
- Knowledge of Oracle and Adaptive business software, and familiarity with university financial reporting policies, is preferred.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft and campus HR procedures is preferred.

Compensation:
Salary is based on your experience, education, and qualifications, within the department's budget and equity guidelines.
- CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,058 - $6,653/month; hiring salary not expected to exceed $4,058/month.
