General Description:
Administrative Coordinator in a busy outpatient physical therapy clinic. Responsible to cover the front desk, greeting patients, collecting co-payments and deductibles, scheduling and facilitating appointments (both in-person and via telehealth), answering phones, and communicating with insurance companies and doctors' offices regarding coordination of benefits, referrals, and authorizations.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate with insurance companies and doctors' offices to obtain referrals and authorizations and check patient benefits.
- Greet patients, answer phones, schedule and facilitate appointments (in-person and telehealth), collect patient payments, and scanning projects.
- Manage medical record inquiries.
- Assist in supervision and training of student employees.
- Other duties as assigned including claims and patient and insurance billing.
Required Skills
Required
- Associate degree with one to three years of related experience.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1-3 years of administrative experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and accurately with high attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a diverse community. Proven communication skills.
- Ability to successfully meet deadlines and to handle with confidential information with discretion.
