Position Summary

The Administrative Coordinator plays a central role in supporting the Taylor Family Center for Student Success (TFCSS) by managing both daily office operations and the delivery of high-impact student programs. This is a dynamic, service-oriented position that ensures the smooth functioning of the Center while also helping to implement key initiatives, including the Center's signature programs and campus-wide events such as First-Generation Celebration Week. The Administrative Coordinator works closely with the TFCSS leadership team, staff, student workers, and campus partners to foster a welcoming, organized, and student-centered environment.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once. It combines front-facing responsibilities with behind-the-scenes coordination, contributing to both the efficiency of the office and the success of student-focused programs.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Center by welcoming visitors, managing inquiries, and maintaining a professional, student-friendly reception area. Design and implement programming that fosters community, sense of belonging, and peer support throughout the academic year.
  • Coordinate room reservations, staff calendars, meetings, and events while providing general administrative assistance to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee office supplies, equipment, vendor relations, and support budget tracking, reimbursements, and purchasing to maintain efficient Center operations. Work alongside the Executive director to help track all center expenses and maintain detailed budget.
  • Plan and execute event logistics—including setup, catering, technology needs, and materials preparation—for Center initiatives such as First-Generation Celebration Week and End of Week Unwind.
  • Support event promotion through various communication channels, track attendance and feedback, and collaborate with staff and campus partners to align programming with center goals. Provide support and updates to our center website and social media accounts.
  • Assist in onboarding, scheduling, and supervising student workers and interns, ensuring effective task delegation and team support. Help to supervise one graduate assistant. Work with the executive director to ensure all HR processes are coordinated for the hiring of student staff.
