Job Summary
The Administrative Manager leads a complex
administrative function of the School of Architecture and
Planning.
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of personnel, facilities and
administrative matters and assisting executive level staff with
administrative management of multiple reporting areas.
- Plans, develops, organizes, evaluates, and manages
administrative operations to ensure proper processing of documents
and to maintain compliance with University, federal, state, and
local government policies and procedures.
- Prepares documents and reports as per university guidelines;
reviewing and approving documents or other processes as
needed.
- Supervises the processing and maintenance of all administrative
records; preparing reports; and serving as the
representative/liaison for administrative matters.
- Maintains administrative records; maintains technical set of
documents and policies and procedures; provides analysis and
interpretation internal processes and makes recommendations to
improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures related to
administrative management or special projects.
- Provides direction and training to staff members and
subcontracted parties and performs project management duties
associated with normal and special projects.
- Manages and maintains records for inventory and
facilities.
- Coordinates and manages key projects.
- Assists in administrative forecasting for grant proposals.
- Takes a proactive approach to assist co-workers in various
tasks, to ensure safety.
- Performs work tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with
work instructions.
- Proactively makes recommendations to improve safety.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Seven (7) years of related work experience.
- This position may require the ability to maintain the security
and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas
EO-GA-48.

Working Conditions
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary,
if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up

This position will work primarily on campus.
Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check.
Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record
