The appointee will work in the Department’s Taught Postgraduate Programmes Office to manage admissions and operations for the collaboration programme of Master of Science in International and Development Economics (MIDE) Programme. The appointee’s major duties will include some of the followings:
- Perform a wide range of programme administrative duties with a focus on programme admission and promotion
- Handle oral and written enquiries, process online applications, verify documents and qualifications, manage application and enrolment data, visa application
- Assist in various programme administrative tasks pertaining to course operations, events and student activities
- Coordinate promotional campaigns and outreach activities for the Programme
- Maintain the general administration and records of the Programme Office
- Perform any tasks as assigned by the supervisors
Occasional travel and work during non-office hours may be required.
Requirements
- A Bachelor Degree or above
- At least two years of work experience, preferably in higher education sector
- Familiar with the education framework of Chinese Mainland
- Good written and oral communication skills and proficiency in English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua a must, Cantonese a plus)
- High competency in MS office applications
- Great sense of responsibility
- Strong desire to learn and improve
- Good team spirit to work with colleagues with different backgrounds and styles
Preference will be given to applicants with solid understanding of development economics and business-related background. Experience in course administration and support is a plus. Candidates with less/more experience will be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.
Salary and Benefits
Commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
