Administrative Officer
Job Description:
- This position is only open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants under Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act.
- Support coordination and delivery of programs and events across the Indigenous Portfolio.
- Full-time appointment on a fixed term basis for 15 months.
- Base salary range: $83,212–$92,231 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The School of Indigenous Studies is a unit committed to leading change for Aboriginal people, developing future leaders, and demonstrating educational leadership in Indigenous knowledge. The professional services team provides vital administrative support to academic and professional staff, students, and stakeholders across research, outreach, teaching, and general operations.
About the opportunity
- Coordinate and implement culturally significant events and outreach programs.
- Provide high-level administrative support to students and staff.
- Liaise with internal teams and community groups to promote School programs.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
- Substantial administrative experience with strong organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Note: A current National Police Clearance Certificate, Working with Children Check, and “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant.
