Pay Range: $23.07 - $25.48 per hour
Hours: Standard University business hours. 8:30am - 5:00pm (academic year), 8:00am - 4:30pm (summer). Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Job Description: Position works with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and the Office of Academic Affairs at the Newhouse School. Under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, this position works primarily on assessment and accreditation project management, support for academic operations, program review project management, course evaluation coordination, and other special projects for academic programs as assigned. This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office.
- Experience managing databases and data collection strongly preferred (e.g. Tableau, Qualtrics).

Responsibilities:
- Review and maintain all assessment documentation and databases for items/artifacts required for assessment and accreditation.
- Facilitate collection of assessment data from all academic majors and programs.
- Review and enter all assessment information each academic year into University assessment platform.
- Create, maintain and update an accessible format to store and share course learning outcomes.
- Manage and administer timelines for data collection, self-study projects, and official accreditation preparations for ACEJMC, which is on a six-year cycle.
- Facilitate accreditation tasks and processes for Middle States accreditation, which is on an eight-year cycle.
- Update institutional data annually with accreditor ACEJMC
- Take minutes at Assessment Committee meeting and maintain other documentation of assessment process.
- Assist Director of Program Review with agenda creation and meeting materials.
- Manage special assessment/accreditation projects as required by Institutional Effectiveness (e.g., course tagging).
- Regularly update and revise curriculum maps based on major and program curricular changes.
- Communicate assessment-driven curriculum changes to Assistant Director of Academic Operations.
- Review and maintain all assessment documentation and databases for items required for Program Review.
- Develop program review timelines in conjunction with Institutional Effectiveness, the Director of Assessment and Program Review, and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
- Assemble information for department chairs, program directors, and Assessment Committee members to complete program review documentation.
- Assist Director of Assessment with preparation of program review reports.
- Facilitate Associate Deans and Dean approval of program review documentation.
- Keep accurate records / archive of program review materials.
- Support the Director of Assessment and Program Review and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs on projects as needed.
- Fulfill data requests from internal/external units.
- Assist with transcript review.
- Conduct syllabus review every semester.
- Assist with annual course catalog review.
- Assist the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs with managing faculty affairs/issues, including Title IX and collaboration with Newhouse DEIA Office.
- Oversee the course evaluation process with Institutional Effectiveness.
- Review all courses to be sure they are listed and have the correct enrollments and professors. Combine courses that meet together.
- Track course evaluation response rates over the course of each cycle and send reminders and updates to faculty.
- Coordinate and complete teaching evaluations for residential, full semester, and early ending courses for fall, spring, and summer semesters.
- Review and maintain all teaching evaluation documentation, databases, and items required for accreditation.
- Respond to and fulfill data requests regarding course feedback.
- Take minutes and keep records for Newhouse Executive Committee.
- Assist the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Senior Associate Dean with special projects, including but not limited to events and academic programs.
