Job Description

About VU:

At Victoria University, our aim is to be a global leader in dual-sector learning and research by 2028. Join us on the journey and help us achieve our strategic drives embedded in our Strategic Plan 2022-2028: Start well, finish brilliantly. One of the drivers “Thriving place to Study and Work” will enable us to continue to create places that our students and staff love to belong and feel immense pride.

About the Team:

You’ll join the Administration portfolio within the College of Sport, Health and Engineering, which supports academic delivery, student engagement, and College initiatives across a wide range of disciplines.

Within this portfolio, the Program Delivery, Events and Marketing (PDEM) team coordinates administrative services, College events, and engagement activities. The team is collaborative, practical, and focused on delivering well organised outcomes that support both staff and students.

About the Role:

The Administrative Team Leader (Program Delivery, Events and Marketing) plays a key role in ensuring the smooth planning and delivery of College events and administrative services.

Reporting to the College Operations Manager, you’ll lead a small team responsible for coordinating events, supporting program delivery activities, and providing consistent, high quality advice and service across the College. The role suits someone who enjoys juggling multiple moving parts, staying ahead of deadlines, and keeping things running calmly during busy periods.

You’ll also look for ways to improve how things are done — refining processes, strengthening communication, and helping the team deliver even better outcomes over time.

Position Key Duties

In this role, you will:

Plan, coordinate, and deliver College events and program related activities, including Open Day, student awards, and internal engagement events

Lead and support a small team of administrative staff, creating a positive and well organised working environment

Manage workflows, timelines, and competing priorities across the PDEM work stream

Work closely with academic, professional, and external stakeholders to ensure events and activities run smoothly

Ensure advice, communication, and administrative support are accurate, consistent, and timely

Apply University policies and procedures in all aspects of work

Identify opportunities to improve processes and service delivery across the team

Support effective communication and coordination across the College

Salary: HEP6 $91,796 - $99,361 +17% superannuation

Employment Type: Full-time continuing role

Hours: 36.75(1.0) FTE

Location: Footscray Park campus
