We have two exciting opportunities within CADA for Administrator roles in Fine Arts and Digital Screen.

Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

The School of Creative Arts & Digital Arts (CADA) seeks two motivated, professional and collaborative individuals to provide administrative support to the staff and students within the schools’ Digital Screen Department, located on Dovedale Campus & Fine Arts Department on Ilam Campus.

The Bachelor of Digital Screen (Honours) is a 4 year degree offering students majors in Animation, Game Arts, Game Development, Cinematic Arts, Screenwriting and Screen Sound. Our unique location provides our students and academics with access to world-class facilities such as sound stages, a theatre and state of the art technology.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts is a prestigious degree that allows students to gain a broad knowledge in visual arts, multimedia and design before engaging in one of the five majors offered; Moving Image, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography and Sculpture.

Both roles are fast-paced and varied and the ideal candidates would be enthusiastic and friendly with a ‘can do’ attitude. Following process, multi-tasking, keeping accurate records and providing an organised and well executed service is vital to this role. You will ensure the provision of timely and efficient administrative services to stakeholders within the school and other departments as needed.

Administrators support academics with activities related to course delivery, such as examination processes and timetabling. You will work within UC policies to manage essential finance and HR administration tasks and assist with Creative Arts events, seminars and functions, the Fine Arts Ilam Gallery, film screenings and special guests.

Mōu | Who You Are

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong administration background in medium to large organisations, preferably in the tertiary education sector, and have:

  • excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with a wide range of people
  • a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your work
  • confidence in using various software platforms
  • the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • knowledge of administration policies, systems and procedures

The successful applicant will also require high-level organisational skills, including the ability to cope with competing demands, and the ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively in a team. In addition, a passion for promoting learning and higher education in the Arts is highly desirable.
