- Content delivery methods include in-person and virtual meetings
and events, email, phone and USPS mail and via a corps of CEAS
Student Ambassadors
- Respond to questions and admissions issues for prospective
students, seeking out and providing answers from other UWM units as
needed. This includes responding to UWM and the College's Request
for Information forms, general recruitment inquiries, and those
passed along by other public-facing UWM entities;
- Maintain ongoing, personalized engagement with prospective
students and their families, including sending post-event
emails, event invitations, and touch-base communications;
- Manage group tour requests, developing engaging visit
opportunities in tandem with the K-12 STEM Outreach
Coordinator;
- Build and manage CEAS Student Ambassadors corps, to
provide student-to-student engagement, including building tours,
panel discussions, and outreach that could include postcards, email
or phone calls;
- Foster relationships with high school educator partners,
in tandem with the K-12 STEM Outreach Coordinator;
- Serve as the liaison for building international university
partnerships, working closely with the Dean's Office:
- Use Memorandums of Intent with international university
partners to develop student enrollment pipelines to UWM;
- Develop relationships with relevant faculty and staff to
facilitate interest, applications and enrollment;
- Develop and implement virtual information sessions to inspire
and encourage students and families to pursue UWM enrollment;
- Develop and execute welcome sessions for
internationally-enrolled student cohorts at UWM.
Plan and support recruitment, yield, and student success
activities and events, including but not limited to:
(15%)
- On-campus undergraduate weekly information sessions and
building tours
- Meet UWM, Admitted Students Days, Preview Day
(undergraduate)
- Graduate School Open House, Virtual Admitted Student
Information Sessions (graduate)
- Plan and support student success activities and events that
strengthen engagement, belonging and connections to CEAS resources
and opportunities;
- Serve as the lead liaison between the office and the Office of
Undergraduate Admissions and Graduate School admissions
office.
- NOTE: Occasional activities above are held nights and
weekends.
Strategically plan, document and evaluate yield recruitment
efforts, working with the CEAS Marketing Manager (10%)
- Create, implement and assess yield recruitment
initiatives;
- Utilize the campus Customer Relationship Management system
(Slate) to strategically target relevant leads, document all points
of engagement with prospective students and evaluate results;
- Document and analyze results to demonstrate alignment with
enrollment goals.
- Carry out or assist with other special projects or activities
as assigned (5%)
Compensation:
$55,000-65,000 (Final salary offer will be determined based
on qualifications and experience)
Required Qualifications:
- Two years' experience in recruitment, admissions, enrollment
management, student services, marketing, outreach, or a related
field.
- Experience presenting information to groups and
individuals.
- Experience using databases, CRM systems, or other data-tracking
systems.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education admissions, recruitment, or
enrollment management.
- Experience using Slate or a similar CRM platform.
- Experience planning and coordinating events or outreach
programs.
- Experience developing partnerships with schools, community
organizations, or educational institutions.
- Experience supervising, training, or coordinating student
employees, ambassadors, or volunteers
- Experience using individualized outreach to drive
enrollment
