Salary:
This role is fixed-term for 12 months in the first instance and it is being offered on a part-time basis with 25 hours per week (67% FTE). The part-time hours would ideally be spread across every weekday. The part-time salary range is £23,450 to £26,800 per year (depending on experience), which is equivalent to a full-time salary of £35,000 to £40,000 per year.

UniQuest Admissions Services are seeking a talented individual with managerial experience to join our brilliant, proactive and growing team.

Duties and responsibilities
As Admissions Manager (Locum Partnerships), you will be responsible for a high number of UK direct reports and the typically expected HR related responsibilities associated with managing staff, including but not limited to; recruitment, interviews & onboarding, pastoral support, coordinating meetings (one-to-one, team and ad-hoc), objective setting, coaching and developing, performance management & review, leave & absence approval/monitoring, and operational planning. However, you will not be responsible for the day-to-day management or oversight of your direct reports’ workload or activities, which will be managed by UniQuest’s Locum partner(s) day-to-day appointed supervisor(s) under each partnership arrangement.
As UniQuest Admissions Locum partnerships are short-term by nature, the Admissions Manager (Locum Partnerships) will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, keeping abreast of potential onward business pipeline opportunities, planning operations accordingly whilst identify ‘best fit’ Locums for service delivery in the context of all existing partnerships and timelines.
In this role you will work closely with other Admissions Managers, Heads of Admissions & the Director of Admissions to ensure the successful delivery of Locum Partnerships on time and to expected standards.
You will be required to lead meetings and contribute to meetings with both internal and external colleagues and stakeholders, interfacing with other UniQuest departments including but not limited to; business support, HR & finance, whilst keeping records & systems (company CRM) up-to-date and maintain a working knowledge of the contractual arrangements of each partnership.
Working efficiently and flexibly to ensure that we respond to our partners’ and the sector’s changing needs, identifying new opportunities through discussion and engagement will be integral to achieving success in this role. As part of the Admissions Leadership team, you will demonstrate a positive attitude, work intelligently and with initiative and contribute to the ongoing development of our services whilst embedding a culture of continuous improvement through all that we do.
Essential experience, skills and competencies
- Substantial experience line managing multiple directs reports (i.e a team or division).
- Demonstrable experience of confidently managing HR related protocols in line with organisational policies, including but not limited to; appraisal, staff development, leave & absence (all types), performance, recruitment, onboarding & offboarding.
- Excellent time management with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and effectively coordinate your work to ensure that deadlines are met.
- An understanding of the principles of the GDPR and DPA.
- Superb communication skills including an excellent standard of spoken and written English.
- Experience of producing reports and/or in the provision of data with appropriate analyses and narrative.
- Experience of working within organisational databases, systems & CRMs to keep relevant records up to date and accurate.
- Demonstrable experience of building rapport and fostering excellent working relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders & shareholders at all levels of seniority.
- Experience of working within contractual frameworks with the ability to understand complex terms and conditions and manage operations and partnerships within these parameters.
- Experience of managing capacity planning for the effective and efficient deliver of operations and services.
- Experience of identifying, addressing and resolving performance issues, including conducting difficult conversations
- A positive, professional, can-do attitude and ability to work with a high level of initiative.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and multi-task.
- Ability to motivate and inspire others in a remote working environment.
- Ability to work effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Desirable experience, skills and competencies
- A working knowledge with prior experience of working within a Higher Education admissions setting is desirable, but not essential.
