UCLan London is seeking to appoint a proactive and detail-oriented Admissions Officer to join our dedicated student recruitment and admissions team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong organisational skills and a passion for higher education to play a key role in supporting the student admissions journey.

As an Admissions Officer, you will be responsible for assisting with the full range of admissions activities, ensuring that applications are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with university policies and regulatory requirements. You will act as an important point of contact for prospective students, applicants, and internal stakeholders, contributing to a positive and professional admissions experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process undergraduate applications in line with admissions procedures and entry requirements
• Assess applications and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with university and UKVI requirements (where applicable)
• Communicate effectively with prospective students, applicants, and internal teams via email, phone, and in person
• Maintain accurate applicant records on admissions systems and databases
• Organise and administer admissions assessments including interviews and English tests
• Support admissions-related events, open days, and applicant engagement activities as required

Essential Criteria

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
• Confidence using databases and IT systems, including Microsoft Office
• A professional, student-focused approach with a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy

Desirable Criteria

• Experience working in university admissions
• Knowledge of UK higher education admissions processes
• Familiarity with UKVI or international admissions requirements and qualifications
