Position Summary
Under direct supervision, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- This Admissions/Records Assistant II is responsible for data entry into the state-mandated management information system (MIS), LACES.
- Data entry into the two Test Information Systems, ACT WorkKeys, and TOPSpro.
- Occasional data entry to the main MIS in the Division of Workforce and Economic Development, Lumens/Modern Campus. The case of ACT WorkKeys also includes the creation of test tickets for every ABE student.
- Data entry involves creating various records, including, but not limited to, location, class, student, and follow-up records.
- Data entry activities also involve modifying/updating records as needed, under the supervision of the Data Manager.
- This position includes support for many of the testing sessions scheduled during the year, for assessments or post-tests.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of clerical experience, one of which was in a college admissions and/or records office or relevant student services area which included maintaining student information, data entry, reviewing applications and student contact; OR one year of experience as an Admissions & Records Assistant I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to use computer equipment.
- Ability to pay extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly communicate in writing and speaking.
- Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of Literacy Pro Systems LACES.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of TOPSpro Enterprise.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of ACT WorkKeys.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of Lumens/Modern Campus.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of TOPS_tests Desktop.
- Ability to follow instructions when interacting with the Windows operating system.
- Basic knowledge of WIOA Title II policies, particularly those related to the Federal Tables.
Weekly Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 9:00pm or 12:00pm - 9:00pm. Schedule may change based on the needs of the department.
Starting Salary
Grade 25, Step 1 - $42,636.96. This position is funded by grant dollars and is contingent upon ongoing and available funding.
