Advanced Practice Provider (APP)/(PA/NP/APRN)/Orthopedics/Trauma and Fracture Surgery
Job Summary
This is a unique opportunity to work in a busy academic orthopedic trauma and fracture surgery practice with one of the premier orthopedic trauma groups in the front range of Colorado. The position will be a full-time exempt (non-hourly) Instructor - Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner position in the Department of Orthopedics in the Orthopedic Trauma and Fracture Surgery Section.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations on assigned patients; assesses and treats acute/chronic medical problems and provides direct patient care to a specified patient population.
- Assists in providing outpatient clinic, Emergency Department, inpatient floor, pre-op, intra-op and post-op care.
- Performs emergency lifesaving procedures; provides fracture reductions; performs joint aspirations and injections.
- Coordinates the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic.
- Participates in educational programs of the CU Orthopedic Trauma and Fracture Surgery Division.
- Assist orthopedic surgeon in operating room setting.
- May perform clinical research and assist in preparation of manuscripts.
