The Advanced Security Officer, under general supervision, provides a visible security presence throughout the buildings and property of Tarleton State University.
Work hours: Night Shift : Mon-Fri; 3:30 PM-12:00 AM or as work requirements indicate. Some weekends for events and overtime are required.
Responsibilities:
-Patrols buildings and grounds to check for suspicious activities of personnel, unlocked doors, fires, and water leaks
-Reports all irregularities, emergencies, or suspicious activity to the University Police Department
-Provides information to visitors, students, and employees or directs such inquiries to appropriate personnel
-Provides courtroom testimony when appropriate
-Assumes 'high profile' status as a deterrent to criminal activity
