Key Research Focus:
The primary focus will be on experimentally investigating the delamination technique using a combination of ultrasonication and flotation technology, while also determining the integrity of the recovered materials. Depending on the candidate's interests and background, the project may also incorporate computational modelling using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to further understand the fundamental interactions of the separation mechanism.
Expected Outcomes and Impact:
This research project aims to contribute towards sustainable packaging recycling technologies, improving the recovery of valuable materials from waste and advancing resource circularity.
Ideal Candidate:
Applicants with a strong academic background (Bachelor's or Master's) in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related fields are highly desirable.
Interested candidates who satisfy the criteria above should provide the following to Assoc. Prof. Lau Ee Won in their application:
Supervisory Team:
Main supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Lau Ee Von, Monash Malaysia
Co-supervisor: Dr. Tan Zhi Qi, Monash Malaysia
