JOB SUMMARY

Instructors provide high-quality instruction that supports student learning and fosters a positive learning environment in the classroom. The primary responsibility is teaching and evaluating students in assigned courses. Instruction is delivered on-site throughout the college’s five-county service area and may also be offered through online teaching formats. Instructors communicate with students outside of class and perform a variety of administrative duties, including committee work, assessment, registration, and advising.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a closely related engineering or technology field; or
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in another discipline with demonstrated competencies through one or more of the following: Professional industry certification (national, regional, or state), Professional employment in a related field, Documented teaching excellence in related fields
• Ability to teach within the following areas of emphasis: Manufacturing processes, industrial safety, alternating currents (AC) and direct current (DC) circuits, electrical/mechanical print reading, fluid power (pneumatics and hydraulics), technical calculations, electrical motor controls, programmable logic controller (PLC’s), and mechatronics.
• Valid driver’s license.
