Advancement Services Coordinator
Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Advancement Services Coordinator position. The Advancement Services Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Director of Institutional Advancement, but maintains close working relationships with Advancement Staff, College IT Department, and Finance Department. This position has primary responsibility for the management and oversight of data, information, analytic and gift services for the MCCC Legacy Fund. These areas include the advancement database, advancement reporting, prospect management, gift recording and acknowledgment, data integrity, data security and database training.
This position has been approved for a flexible work option arrangement. Flexible work options can be ended at any time by the College, Cabinet, and/or supervisors based on employee performance and/or as institutional needs change.
QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
1. Education/Training/Work Experience (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Eight or more years related experience in fundraising, finance/accounting, database management, or equivalent combination.
- High level of computer literacy, especially with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access, and database report writing tools. The ability to learn Web-based search tools as well as the College’s integrated database system and to train others.
- Successful experience managing multiple complex tasks and/or projects simultaneously while addressing the needs of the office.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work with a variety of peers and supervisors.
- Proven ability to exercise reasoned, independent judgment while adhering to standard practices and policies.
- Ability to work with sensitive information with complete confidentiality.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong preference given to candidates with advancement experience.
- Strong preference given to candidates with experience working in relational databases, especially Ellucian’s Colleague and Raiser’s Edge NXT.
