Context
Chronic respiratory diseases, including COPD, asthma, and bronchiectasis, pose significant challenges in management due to their diverse clinical manifestations. Stratified medicine, utilizing patients' biomarker profiles, offers a promising solution to these complexities. Recent investigations underscore the considerable potential of sputum-based biomarkers in bronchiectasis and COPD. These biomarkers, identified in our recent studies, show a significant correlation with clinical outcomes.
