Position Summary

The School of Hospitality at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for temporary, part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. Responsibilities

• Teach 3+ credit hours in subjects such as Wedding Planning, Event Industry, Event Project Management, Event Planning, Event Support Systems, Hospitality Promotions, Trade Shows and Expositions, and Special Event Production.
• Work and interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
• Demonstrate ability to effectively infuse technology into coursework.
• Be available for consultation with students.

An affiliate faculty member's duties include teaching assigned classes in person or online, preparing course materials, grading student work, providing feedback, addressing student questions, and complying with university policies.

Required Qualifications

Completion of a Master's degree in the field or a Bachelor's degree in a hospitality-related discipline plus substantial professional experience (normally no less than ten consecutive years with increasing responsibility).

Preferred Qualifications

Nationally recognized certificates and licenses relevant to the field (e.g., CMP, CMM, CGMP).

Terms of Employment

Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired on a per credit hour basis. They are not eligible for benefit coverage and are expected to teach in person/on campus.
