Affiliations & Contracts Coordinator - LUCOM
Provide organization, facilitation and oversight of various projects, activities or events within the organization. This could include, but is not limited to creating and managing schedules, timelines and event plans, facilitating communication and ensuring information is disseminated effectively.
With oversight and direction from the Associate Director of Academic and Clinical Compliance, assist with the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of credentialing and/or affiliation documents, agreements and contracts for LUCOM and/or LUCOM faculty and manage and process associated payments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and track financial obligations to core sites and affiliates for services provided, including preparing and submitting encumbrances, purchase orders, and check requests for rotation, physician site liaison, and student education coordinator payments. Reconcile p-card expenditures for department purchases.
- Contribute to the creation, maintenance and monitoring of affiliation documents, agreements and contracts between the college and collaborative institutions or physician faculty (preceptors).
- Manage malpractice insurance renewal for LUCOM faculty, staff, residents, and students, as well as CHP/CVFP providers and clinical staff.
- Assist with credentialing and appointment processes for full-time, part-time, and adjunct faculty and staff, including physician faculty (preceptors).
- Provide timely, professional communication and follow-up to internal and external stakeholders regarding the status of applicable affiliation and credentialing documentation and payments and associated processes.
- Demonstrate professionalism in support of LUCOM’s mission and vision, including customer service, collaboration, communication, excellence, and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with LUCOM leadership, team members, and/or other Liberty University departments regarding affiliation and credentialing tasks, needs, and/or issues.
- Follow all institutional and regulatory policies and procedures regarding contracts, payment, and physician faculty (preceptor) approval and appointment.
- Assist with reviewing policy and procedures in the LUCOM Catalog and/or website.
- Assist in the preparation of institutional and regulatory reports and documents.
- Other duties as requested and/or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
Required
• High school degree or GED required.
• Experienced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and e-mail.
• One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in administrative services, healthcare administration, education, business, or another related field.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously of a routine and complex nature.
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Data management and/or financial systems experience.

Required to navigate to other campus offices, and on occasion, may be required to travel off-campus to attend site visits.

Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the campus.
May be required to handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled setting. It is well lighted, and the noise level is moderate.
Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
