AGBS - Postdoctoral Researcher in Molecular Plant Physiology
Position Summary
The Plant Physiology Laboratory at UM6P is seeking a motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our Plant Stress Physiology team investigating molecular mechanisms underlying plant physiological responses to environmental stress. The successful candidate will work at the interface of molecular biology, physiology, and omics technologies to dissect regulatory networks in model and/or crop plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to study molecular and physiological processes in plants.
- Utilize tools such as proteomics and metabolomics.
- Analyze plant phenotypes under controlled and stress conditions.
- Present findings at scientific conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Assist in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
- Contribute to grant writing and project development.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Plant Physiology, or related field.
- Strong background in molecular biology techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proven publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Knowledge of bioinformatics tools for transcriptomic or proteomic data analysis.
- Experience in physiological assays (e.g., photosynthesis, chlorophyll fluorescence, hormone quantification).
