Purdue University’s Agricultural Economics Department covers a wide array of issues from development, trade, macroeconomics policy implications, agribusiness, production and consumption all the way to environmental and resource issues.
Programme Structure
Curriculum:
- Our Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science programs provide excellent preparation for positions in higher education, public service and private industry.
- The PhD track focuses on theory application and analytical methods to solve problems in a chosen area of specialization - Agribusiness Management and Marketing; International Trade and International Development; Applied Economics Quantitative Methods; and Resources, Environment and Sustainable Production.
- We offer two primary tracks for an MS in Agricultural Economics: the traditional track which is research-oriented, leading to the completion of a thesis and the professional MS in international business, a non-thesis degree.
- In partnership with the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, the department also offers the dual-degree MS-MBA in Food and Agribusiness Management.
