The Alumni Engagement Coordinator is part of a team that is responsible for supporting and advancing alumni participation across the ASU enterprise. This role works closely with colleagues and key stakeholders to implement data-driven strategies, execution of broad and targeted outreach campaigns, and ongoing project support designed to increase alumni donations, event attendance, ticket purchases, learning enrollments and other key outcomes. This position will report to the Alumni Outreach Manager while working closely with colleagues across the Alumni Engagement team and broader Outreach Hub team as it relates to project management, campaign execution, quarterly reports, and team presentations.

What you'll do

  • Serves as project lead for select alumni engagement programs and campaigns to include alumni story collection, new graduate communications, event-related campaigns and others as assigned
  • Assists with alumni engagement team updates, tasks, and timelines in collaboration with Outreach Hub project management team
  • Submits project requests to Wrike task management system for owned projects and others across the Alumni Engagement team as needed
  • Provides status updates throughout all phases and alerts team and colleagues of any threat to on-time delivery of any project deliverable
  • Supports creation and ongoing updates to alumni engagement decks, quarterly impact summaries, academic alumni engagement reports, and overall team presentations
  • Collaborate with Sun Devil Rewards team to support strategy and operations of rewards catalog, inventory, and redemption processes
  • Assists as project lead with SMS/mobile app push outreach and broad event registration assistance as part of outreach campaigns where appropriate
  • Analyzes and manages reporting templates, tools, and dashboards in support of regular and ad hoc reporting needs for departmental and other colleagues
  • Cross trains in other alumni engagement team processes and procedures to provide backup in key areas
  • Works creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Supports efforts related to alumni story collection, including partnering with internal and external partners to launch campaigns, review submissions, edit transcriptions, and evaluate trends
  • Assists with analyzing data from internal and external partners
  • Reviews current literature and resources to stay informed on alumni engagement strategies and best practices across the enterprise and broader industry
  • Documents processes and provides updates as needed
  • Participates in special projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Relevant qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Project Management or related field
  • 1-2 years of marketing, communications or project management experience with responsibility for managing projects from inception to completion
  • 1-2 years experience working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams and departments
  • Or any equivalent combination of marketing, project management and/or administrative experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Preferred education and experience

  • An interest in higher education and familiarity with project management

Preferred skills and ability

  • Experience with marketing or fundraising campaigns, related project timelines and outcome reports
  • Experience working with project management platforms such as Wrike, Ziflow, or similar
