Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking
disability-related workplace accommodations, providing proactive
case management, facilitating meetings, and coordinating the
interactive process.
Review and evaluate disability documentation to determine
eligibility for accommodations in compliance with the ADA, ensuring
decisions are legally sound, timely, and properly documented.
Conduct and/or coordinate periodic accessibility evaluations
and assessments of facilities, programs, and services to identify
and address barriers to workplace accommodations.
Review, determine, support the identification, recommendation,
and implementation of workplace accommodation equipment and
assistive technology solutions to ensure compliance and inclusive
workplace practices.
Assist with the delivery of workshops/training to departments,
managers, and staff on disability awareness, ADA requirements, the
workplace accommodation request process, and the importance of
accessibility and accommodations.
Maintain accurate, confidential records and case notes.
Participates on university committees to address campus-wide
accessibility needs (TAAG - Digital Accessibility & Physical
Accessibility Committee).
Stays current on state/federal law changes and best practices
with professional development opportunities and credentialing.
Must be knowledgeable of guidelines for adherence to Title II
Digital Accessibility (Review, determine, support the
identification, recommendation, and implementation of workplace
accommodation to include digital access and assistive technology
solutions to ensure compliance and inclusive workplace
practices)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration,
Organizational Development, or a related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of the ADA, and applicable federal and
state laws and regulations
- Demonstrated experience in workplace disability management
- Demonstrated expertise in disability/workplace
accommodations
- Knowledge of local agencies and organizations that provide
services to individuals with disabilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the
ability to clearly convey complex and regulatory information to
stakeholders at all organizational levels and to both small and
large groups
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word,
PowerPoint, Outlook) for documentation, presentations, and
communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master' degree in any related field
- Higher education experience
- Effective analytical and research skills, with the ability to
interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable
insights
