Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated analyst to contribute to the University’s strategic space planning and optimisation.
As part of the Property and Campus Development Division, you’ll support the Strategic Space Programme with high-quality data analysis, insightful reporting on the University’s current and future space needs. Your work will directly influence smart, evidence-based decisions around planning and investment decisions.
You will partner with teams across the University, including Strategy Analytics, Finance, HR and IT to develop scenarios, improve processes, and enhance systems that support efficient and sustainable use of space.
As the go-to person for space data, you will ensure a high level of service for stakeholders while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen how space is managed across the University.

We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, or business/process analysis.
- Strong skills in data management, including working with databases and generating insights from complex datasets.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Experience working with stakeholders to gather data, develop solutions, and improve processes.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., commerce, IT, information management) or equivalent experience.
Experience in the tertiary sector or within a large, complex organisation, as well as knowledge of spatial planning or asset management concepts, will be advantageous.

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours) position, located in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.
The appointment range for this role is $75,631 to $80,503 per annum, top of range is $88,750 per annum.
