General Description
The Department of Pathology of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine invites applications for a full time, tenure track faculty position at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. The successful candidate will hold an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a medical staff appointment in the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Applicants must have a M.D./D.O degree or equivalent and be Board certified, or eligible, in Anatomic or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. The successful candidate must be eligible for a State of Maryland medical license. The position is responsible for signing out surgical pathology and frozen sections. The ideal candidate would also have a particular area of subspecialty expertise in head and neck pathology, genitourinary pathology, breast pathology, and/or bone and soft tissue pathology. The position also involves teaching residents as well as the development of an independent or collaborative research program in clinical, applied or basic research.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a M.D./D.O degree or equivalent and be Board certified, or eligible, in Anatomic or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. The successful candidate must be eligible for a State of Maryland medical license.

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
