Job Title: Anatomy & Embryology Course Director
The University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford is seeking a full-time faculty member as an educator of Anatomy and Embryology and course director for first and second-year medical students.
Candidates will be responsible for delivering teaching material on basic principles needed for the practice of clinical medicine in anatomy and embryology. Candidates will need to collaborate closely with other anatomy and embryology faculty across the college to develop course materials and strategize innovative methods for teaching content. The selected individual must be able to teach all components of anatomy and embryology at a level relevant to an M1 and M2 student. The selected individual will also have administrative responsibilities, including coordinating with other courses, generating appropriate evaluation tools, and serving as a course director for an integrated discipline course on the local campus. Candidates will have the option to participate in research throughout the college based on interest. The successful candidate will engage in curriculum development and integration with the clinical sciences, working collaboratively with like-minded and talented individuals across the University of Illinois College of Medicine campuses, which include Rockford, Chicago, and Peoria.

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D., or MD/DO, or its foreign equivalent. A degree in anatomy and embryology is preferred. Previous experience in teaching collegiate or medical school courses is preferred.
