Essential Functions
- Under the direction of DVM's, perform, teach, and train veterinary procedures to veterinary students, orient and evaluate students to service area.
Minimum Qualifications Graduate of Veterinary Technician or equivalent program, certified as MVMA/MAVT technician, five years of experience in the veterinary medical field including at least 2 years assisting DVM's as a certified technician. Ability to act independently with little or no supervision.
Preferred Qualifications/Selection Criteria Problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of veterinary medicine terminology, knowledge of proper restraint and handling of large and small animals. A willingness to be flexible to meet patient care needs. Certified technician with certification recognized in Minnesota. Two years of veterinary technical experience preferred. Proficiency with PC and software programs.
