Position Overview:
The College of New Jersey's Department of Sociology and Anthropology is seeking dynamic adjunct instructors to teach ANT 110: Introduction to Cultural Anthropology in Fall 2026 (August 22 to December 12, 2026).
Minimum qualifications include:
- a M.A. degree in Anthropology and prior college-level teaching experience with introductory courses in Anthropology OR
- a specialization in Anthropology and experience teaching college students. Ph.D. or ABD preferred.
Bulletin Course Description: A survey of the major concepts of social-cultural anthropology. Cross-cultural comparison will be a central concern of the course, as will the process of cultural change. *This course satisfies TCNJ's Core College requirement of Global, so this must be included throughout the course in a meaningful manner.
Note: These courses will be offered in-person at TCNJ's campus in Ewing, NJ. Only those candidates within a reasonable distance will be considered.
