Pre-Doctoral Summer Camp: Using AI for Research in Organisation Science
May 15 – June 15, 2026
Designed for pre-doctoral researchers, research assistants (without PhDs), and those preparing for PhD applications in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, or Organisational Behaviour for the 2026 or 2027 intake, this camp introduces how AI can be thoughtfully and responsibly integrated into management research.
Participants from other fields are welcome, though some content may be less directly applicable.

Building on this early exposure, INSEAD offers fully funded doctoral positions for pre-doctoral candidates and early-stage researchers seeking a long-term career in business academia.
For the mid-August 2027 intake, INSEAD will recruit PhD candidates in:
Accounting and Control, Decision Sciences, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, Organisational Behaviour, Strategy, and Technology & Operations Management.
The INSEAD PhD in Management prepares graduates for successful academic careers at leading business schools worldwide through rigorous research training, close faculty mentorship, and a distinctive two-continent experience (France and Singapore). Students may also pursue a PhD exchange with The Wharton School, adding a third international dimension to their doctoral journey.
Who Should Apply?
We seek candidates with the intellectual ambition and discipline to contribute to frontier research in management.
INSEAD welcome candidates from diverse academic backgrounds. A business degree is not required, and applicants may apply while completing a master’s degree.
We are looking for individuals who are intellectually curious, motivated by research, and eager to pursue a career as a management professor. Strong candidates typically demonstrate:
- A minimum undergraduate degree (a 3-year bachelor’s is accepted) in any discipline; a master’s degree is advantageous but not required
- A strong academic record, with well-developed critical thinking and analytical abilities
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a research-oriented environment; prior research experience is beneficial but not essential
- A clear motivation to pursue an academic career as a management professor in their chosen field

Rigorous Research Training
PhD candidates will:
- Conduct original, high-quality research
- Collaborate closely with faculty and peers
- Present at leading international conferences
- Receive structured training in research and teaching: 2 years of coursework + 3 years of dissertation

- Statement of Purpose (1,500-word letter of motivation or essay)
- Academic transcripts
- Three letters of recommendation (with at least one academic referee)
