Architecture, Engineering & Construction Archivist (Temp)
Job Summary
This role is responsible for assisting with managing and preserving the records and documents related to architectural, engineering, and construction projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements
- Assists with transferring electronic data from the share drive to Laserfiche
- Captures and stores source materials electronically. (i.e., closeouts, construction documents, and project assessment photos) using provided computerized systems and equipment
- Creates and maintains inventories and descriptions using AEC standard naming conventions; creates searchable files in assigned locations to facilitate access and use
- Assists with preserving, utilizing, and promoting archived records and AutoCad/Revit files to help TCCD (Tarrant County College District) Real Estate and Facilities and outsource firms
- Assists the Assistant Director in processing and creating metadata for physical and electronic record holdings
- Assists with organizing mobile shelving for project closeouts and flat files for construction documents
- Assists with arranging and describing archived materials according to well established archival principles and recordkeeping standards
Service Excellence
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the assigned department leader
