Art History Instructor- Part-time Adjunct Pool

Kern Community College District is soliciting applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. The starting salary is $67.00 per hour.

Basic Function

Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. Applications remain active for up to two years.

Representative Duties

This position is for an adjunct pool to staff assignments at various Kern Community College District locations.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's in art history, history of art and architecture, or visual culture/visual studies; or Bachelor's in art history and Master's in history; or Master's in art with a concentration in art history; or the equivalent. A demonstrated sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds is required.

Knowledge & Abilities

• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and students in a diverse environment.
• Ability to develop curriculum and assess student learning outcomes.
• Knowledge of computers and commitment to the California community college mission.
