Art History Online, Adjunct
Job Description
The Lincoln Memorial University Art Program is seeking to fill an adjunct art history instructor position for the 2026-27 academic year. In Fall 2026 the successful candidate will teach one (1) online section of ART 381. In Spring 2026 we predict that the successful candidate will teach one (1) online section of ART 382 and one (1) online section of ART 100. LMU currently uses the Canvas learning management system. Adjunct faculty positions require submission of unofficial transcripts reflecting the minimum requirements with the application. LMU provides a competitive pay scale for adjunct instructors. Travel stipends are available if travel to campus is required.
Required Qualifications
MA in Art History or a masters degree in a related field with 18 graduate semester hours in Art History.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Art History
Job Duties
- promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large;
- promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students
- provide course and classroom conduct as outlined in the Faculty-Staff Policy Manual
- conduct office/conference hours;
- submit textbook requests;
- participate in annual faculty evaluation;
- and perform other duties as assigned within the scope of current position.
- Other duties may be assigned on an as need basis.
