Assistant/Associate Coach, Swimming
Job Description
This position assists the Head Coach in recruiting, coaching and mentoring elite student-athletes for the varsity Men's & Women's Swim Team, and providing administrative and organizational support for the program. Coaching and mentoring duties include assisting in the organization and implementation of the team's training program and practices; preparation of athletes for competitions; and attending coaching clinics and lectures as assigned by the Head Coach. The Assistant/Associate Coach will also participate in recruiting activities including campus and home visits, phone calls, correspondence, evaluations of techniques, etc. The individual will undertake administrative duties to assist in the organization and hosting of competitions, and complete other administrative tasks as assigned by Head Coach or when in need by other coaches/operations. The title of Assistant or Associate coach is dependent on level of experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (4 years), 1-2 Years Previous Coaching Experience
Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 Years Previous Coaching Experience, College Swimming Coaches Association Affiliation, USA Swimming Coach Member Certification
