Assistant/Associate/Full Professional Researcher - Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
We are seeking a qualified health economist and expert in econometrics to support key activities within our research group in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in collaboration with the UCSF Center for Tuberculosis. Analytic leadership and support is required to advance our research to advance the implementation of population health strategies for tuberculosis (TB), domestically and globally, as well as additional public health areas of importance. The incumbent will provide technical support and leadership in health economic and econometrics for the following projects (although the full portfolio may change over time based on programmatic needs and funding). Key projects will include:
CPR3 (California Collaborative for Public Health Research) - providing health economics and modeling support in service of our long-standing public health research collaborative.
TB-DASH (Developing a Global Framework to Increase Demand and Access for Tuberculosis Health Services)- providing support for crafting an investment case for demand generation strategies to support uptake of TB innovations.
R2D2 (Rapid Research in Diagnostic Development Network for Tuberculosis)- provide health economics support for a large TB diagnostics platform as needed.
Finally, you will support health economics training and capacity building both formally and informally through the implementation science training program/DEB, and within our research group for post-docs, analysts and students.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Health Economics, Health Policy, or Health Systems.
- 5 or more years of research experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior research expertise in tuberculosis.
- Prior collaborative research experience with public health departments at the local, state or national level.
See Table 13B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $93,400 - $248,400.
