Job Summary
The Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Nursing DNP Coordinator position has primary responsibilities in providing leadership required in the administration of the DNP program and working collaboratively with administrative officials to promote the goals of the School of Nursing and the University. The DNP Program Coordinator is directly responsible to the Director of the School of Nursing. This position includes teaching graduate nursing courses; advising students; maintaining full faculty involvement in the University, College, and School; and contributing to the nursing body of knowledge through personal and collaborative scholarship.
Minimum Qualifications
- An earned graduate degree in nursing;
- Research focused doctorate in nursing or related field;
- An active, unencumbered Alabama registered nurse license, or a multi-state registered nurse license issued by a party state;
- Academic and experiential qualifications to teach in the area assigned;
- Established research/scholarly efforts;
- Experience with online course delivery;
- Effective leadership skills;
- Ability to work collegially in a group of dedicated graduate faculty.
