Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Brain Health
Fuyao University of Science and Technology – School of Life and Health Sciences
About University
Fuyao University of Science and Technology (FYUST) is a new private research university located in Fuzhou, China. It was established with the generous donation of a globally renowned entrepreneur Mr. CAO Tak Wong, officially approved by the Ministry of Education in February 2025.
FYUST aims to pursue cutting-edge scientific discovery and technological innovation grounded in humanistic values and social responsibility. FYUST is building a dynamic, world-class environment for research and education spanning engineering, computing, intelligent manufacturing, life and health sciences, materials, transportation, and arts & sciences, with a vision to deliver fundamental breakthroughs, foster technological translation, and advance human well-being.
About School
The School of Life and Health Sciences focuses on the important and cutting-edge field of brain health. The School integrates the latest technologies from multiple disciplines to investigate the mechanisms underlying brain function and brain disorders, identify strategies for precise diagnosis and effective intervention in brain diseases, and ultimately safeguard life and health. At the same time, it is committed to cultivating future leaders with interdisciplinary expertise in the field of life and health sciences.
With "brain health" as its central theme, the School has established an X-Brain-Y interdisciplinary research framework connecting the brain with other organs and systems of the body. It collaborates with both internal and external institutions, as well as domestic and international partners, across multiple dimensions such as molecules, cells, organs, and the whole organism; genes and environment; and animal models and clinical specimens. By integrating cutting-edge technologies such as data science, artificial intelligence (AI), materials science, and advanced manufacturing, the School clarifies the mechanisms of brain diseases, discovers new targets for brain disease treatment, identifies new markers for early diagnosis, develops effective new drugs, and creates new non-invasive intervention devices. It also explores the principles of brain intelligence (BI) to enhance the efficiency and capabilities of artificial intelligence.
The School is dedicated to cultivating future interdisciplinary leaders with expertise in life and health sciences, producing research with international academic impact, and translating scientific and technological innovation into real-world value. Through the integrated development of "learning, research, production and, application", together with a strong commitment to internationalization, the School provides a broad global platform and for talent development, and promotes the global translation of scientific and technological achievements.
