Fuyao University of Science and Technology (FYUST) is a new private research university located in Fuzhou, China. It was established with the generous donation of a globally renowned entrepreneur Mr. CAO Tak Wong, officially approved by the Ministry of Education in February 2025.

About School

The School of Arts and Sciences plays a crucial role in talent cultivation at Fuyao University of Science and Technology. The school offers general education courses on mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, languages, physical education, humanities, and arts. Our faculty undertakes research projects at the frontiers science and technology. We make original contributions to key fields in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and other disciplines.

We are now seeking candidates to join us as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in Physics.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Professor

Candidates should meet the standards of tenured full professors at leading international universities. Specific requirements include:

• A strong record of teaching excellence at all levels,
• The ability to teach in English (for all subjects),
• A distinguished research record in relevant fields,
• Experience in supervising PhD students and leading research teams.

2. Associate Professor

Candidates should meet the standards of tenured associate professors at leading international universities. Specific requirements include:

• Solid teaching experience with excellent results in course delivery,
• The ability to teach in English (for all subjects),
• A strong record of conducting original and impactful research,
• Experience in graduate supervision and collaborative academic work.

3. Assistant Professor

Candidates should have a PhD in hand from a reputable university. Specific requirements include:

• The ability to teach undergraduate courses in English (for all subjects),
• A record of making original contributions to relevant fields,
• The potential for future academic success.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting annual salary: Assistant Professor: £43k; Associate Professor: £65k; Professor: £76k; Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• Research support: Startup and ongoing research funding (case-by-case based on profile)
