Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Massey College of Business at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, beginning August 2026.

The area of specialization/certification that will be given preference for this position is Supply Chain Management. Applicants will be expected to have expertise in an SCM-related function (e.g., logistics, operations management, planning, purchasing, and strategy) and demonstrate a proven ability to engage in an environment that emphasizes cross-functional interaction and integration, both within and outside traditional supply chain management areas. Areas where expertise is desired include (but are not limited to) service operations, healthcare operations and management, information systems, analytics, operations management, and supply chain strategy. The candidate will be expected to teach in undergraduate and graduate courses offered in the College. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a well-developed research agenda with a promise of publishing in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals in supply chain management. This position includes an external-facing role that requires the ability to effectively build partnerships with industry. Additional responsibilities include academic advising and service to the college and university. A terminal degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field from an accredited university is required. ABD candidates will also be considered. As all Belmont undergraduates complete an innovative general education program with significant interdisciplinary components, Belmont University is particularly seeking applicants who can demonstrate the interest and ability to work collaboratively in course design and to teach interdisciplinary and topical courses in this program.

  • Knowledge of the programs and services offered by Belmont University. Interest and ability to work collaboratively in course design and to teach interdisciplinary and topical courses.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.

Required Education A terminal degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field from an accredited university is required. ABD candidates will also be considered.

Required Experience Teaching experience strongly preferred.

The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
