Assistant/Associate Head Coach, Men's Soccer
Job Summary
The associate head coach helps the head coach with all activities of the designated program, including but not limited to recruitment and retention of student-athletes; monitoring of student-athletes’ academic progress; striving for competitive success; management of budget; and ensuring the program’s compliance with University, Conference, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) guidelines. The associate head coach serves as the head coach when the head coach is not present.
Essential Job Functions
- Prioritizes, promotes, and actively supports student-athlete academic achievement
- Identifies, evaluates, and recruits student-athletes for success at Lindenwood University
- Maintains current knowledge of and adheres to the policies, procedures, bylaws, regulations, and rules of Lindenwood University, Intercollegiate Athletics, the NCAA, and Conference Office
- Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
- Establishes effective relationships with the community while positively representing the program, department, and University
- Leads training and development of assistant coaches and director of operations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 3 years collegiate coaching experience required
- Division I experience preferred
- Playing experience preferred
