Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Physical Therapy and Respiratory Therapy

The Department of Physical Therapy and the Department of Respiratory Therapy invite applications for two full-time tenured or probationary (tenure track) positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank, commencing July 1, 2026, or on a date mutually agreed upon. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The Department seeks an emerging Indigenous Scholar with a commitment to excellence in teaching and research. Exceptional candidates at any rank will be considered with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below:
- The ideal candidate will have a PhD or be very near completion in any discipline.
- Knowledge and/or experience with Indigenous methodologies and/or decolonizing scholarship.
- Lived experience, Indigenous knowledge, and evidence of sustained leadership and relationship-building within Indigenous communities.
- Experience in advocacy and community engagement, with preference given to candidates with connections to local Manitoba communities and languages.
- Teaching experience in higher education or K-12 settings, with the ability to contribute to entry-level education and graduate-level supervision.
- Experience coordinating courses and contributing to curriculum development, particularly in areas relevant to Indigenous health and education.
- Capacity to develop an independent research program related to Indigenous health, with potential to contribute to interprofessional and community-based research initiatives.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonizing education within academic and community contexts.
