Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor

Chang Gung University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Medical Humanities and Social Sciences.

Position

Areas of Expertise

Applicants should demonstrate interdisciplinary expertise in areas including, but not limited to:

• Medical Humanities
• Medical Sociology
• Medical Education Research

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Hold a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
2. Demonstrate teaching and research experience (preferred).
3. Be capable of teaching undergraduate courses and supporting teaching and research in the Medical Education Program within the Graduate Institute of Clinical Medical Sciences.
4. Be prepared to offer at least the following courses:
   • Understanding the Sociology of Health
   • Gender and Medicine
   • Teaching Theory and Method in Medical Education
5. Ability to contribute to the following additional courses is highly desirable:
   • Medical humanities courses (e.g., Volunteer Participation Practicum)
   • Courses within the Medical Education Program
6. Ability to mentor medical students in service-learning activities, fostering social responsibility and global perspectives.
7. Demonstrated passion for teaching and strong research capabilities; the ability to teach in English is an advantage.
8. Proven record of independent research and academic publication, including at least one peer-reviewed journal article that has been published or accepted for publication (with proof of acceptance required).
