Assistant/Associate Professor
The Department of Psychological Sciences at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning August 16, 2026.
Responsibilities: Candidates will contribute to the education and training of undergraduate and graduate students, including teaching courses in the candidate's area of expertise and providing effective advisement and mentorship. Candidates are expected to maintain a strong research program with potential for extramural funding, while contributing to a respectful and supportive learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have an independent research program in clinical psychology, broadly defined, with interests that complement the department's existing faculty. A promising record of publications and high potential for external funding (for Assistant) or a record of extramural funding (for Associate) is required. A PhD in Psychology or a closely related field is required; ABD candidates will be considered but must have a PhD by the start date.
Desired Qualifications: A PhD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program is desired. The ability to teach graduate assessment courses and/or supervise psychoeducational assessments is strongly desired.
