Assistant/Associate Professor – Audit Analytics
Job Description
The Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in the Department of Accounting and Finance at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, starting August 28, 2026. Candidates holding tenure at their current institution are invited to apply.
Ideal candidates will have an active program of research with demonstrated ability for high-quality scholarly publications. Preference is given to candidates who conduct research in audit analytics, accounting information systems, and/or emerging technologies in accounting/audit. Candidates should have proven ability to work in a collaborative, diverse organization committed to a vibrant, inclusive environment.
The selected candidate will teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels in face-to-face and online modes. They are expected to pursue scholarly research for publications in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals; engage in outreach with the local business community; increase visibility of accounting programs; serve on committees; advise students; and participate in curricular development. Ability to develop collaborative relationships across disciplines and with external partners is preferred.
Department of Accounting and Finance
The Department educates future practitioners and academics in accounting, auditing, tax, finance, and commercial real estate. It offers BS and MS in Accounting, concentrations in Finance and Real Estate, and supports MBA and graduate certificate programs. Advanced audit analytics are a key strength.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates must hold a Doctorate in Accounting or related fields (or complete by August 1, 2026). Preference for research/teaching in audit analytics and emerging technologies. CPA license is preferred, along with publications, conference presentations, teaching excellence, and experience in online/hybrid formats.
