Assistant/Associate Professor in Cardiovascular Exercise Physiology
Situated on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people in Vancouver, Canada, the School of Kinesiology in the Faculty of Education at The University of British Columbia (UBC) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Associate Professor (tenured) position in Cardiovascular Exercise Physiology. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2026 or as mutually agreed.
The successful candidate must hold a PhD in Kinesiology or a related field and demonstrate potential for research, funding, and teaching in cardiovascular exercise physiology. They will establish a research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and contribute to the School through supervision and service.
This position supports interdisciplinary research at UBC, focusing on physical activity, health, and cardiovascular diseases. Teaching responsibilities include courses in advanced exercise physiology, cardiovascular physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and clinical exercise physiology, with a nine-credit annual workload.
The position is tenure-track or tenured in the Professoriate stream, with starting salary of $155,000 - $170,000 for Assistant Professor or $170,000 - $195,000 for Associate Professor. The School offers various degrees and is ranked highly globally.
