University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is the first national university specializing in academic applied, technical, and professional education in Qatar. It offers various programs across multiple colleges and focuses on student-centered learning.

The College of Computing and Information Technology is seeking applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor. The role involves promoting innovative learning, applied research, and service, as well as collaborating with department heads and colleagues.

Responsibilities include developing, delivering, and evaluating courses in areas such as Computer Systems, Network Systems, SDN, Cloud, and Edge Computing. Duties also encompass evaluating student progress, managing resources, liaising with industry, and participating in projects.

Faculty members are expected to maintain course portfolios for accreditation and engage in professional development.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Education: PhD in a computing field from an internationally recognized university.

For Assistant Professor:

• Minimum 3 years teaching experience in post-secondary or industry training.
• 3 years employment experience as a practitioner in the relevant discipline.
• Distinguished research record with high-quality publications.
• Excellent record of supervising students and building industry partnerships.

Preferred: Professional certifications, diploma in education, and additional experience.For Associate Professor:

• Minimum 8 years teaching experience.
• Distinguished research record and leadership in partnerships.

Preferred: Similar to Assistant Professor but with more extensive experience.Other Skills: Knowledge of computing systems, commitment to applied learning, ability to design learning experiences, digital literacy, and effective communication.
