Assistant/Associate Professor in Sport Management and Recreational Leadership
Job Description
The College of Health and Wellness Professions at St. Cloud State University invites applications for a Tenure-Track, Probationary Line, Assistant/Associate position in Sport Management & Recreation Leadership within the Department of Kinesiology, Community Health, and Gerontology.
The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate teaching, student mentorship, curriculum support, and program initiatives across multiple areas of sport and recreation, and athletic coaching. A faculty workload includes 24 credits per academic year, with delivery modes that may include face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Teaching courses in the Sport and Recreation Management B.S program and Sport Management M.S. program, and Athletic Coaching minor.
- Supporting applied learning experiences (practicums, internships, job shadows)
- Supervising experiential learning and coordinating partnerships with campus and community agencies
- Advising undergraduate and/or graduate students
- Serving on graduate student culminating project committee's
- Collaborating with colleagues to advance program initiatives, assessment, and accreditation needs
- Engages in appropriate scholarly or professional activities and pursues ongoing professional development
- Contributing to departmental, college, university, and community service and engagement activities
