Assistant/Associate Professor in Theoretical Computer Science

The University of Luxembourg is seeking candidates for an Assistant/Associate Professor position in Theoretical Computer Science under the Anne Beffort Excellence Programme.

Your Role

To strengthen the Department of Computer Science, the candidate is expected to:

• Develop and perform research in Theoretical Computer Science and establish a research group.
• Seek cooperation with researchers within the department and across institutions.
• Contribute to teaching at Bachelor, Master, and PhD levels.
• Provide lectures in Theoretical Computer Science.
• Advise PhD candidates and contribute to training activities.

Your Profile

• PhD degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Research track record in Theoretical Computer Science with openness to interdisciplinary collaborations.
• Expertise in areas such as computational complexity, algorithms, data structures, logic in computer science, semantics, theory of programming, learning theory, parallel algorithms, or quantum computing.
• Publications in relevant conferences and journals.
• Experience in teaching Computer Science topics.
• Proficiency in English; encouraged to learn French or German.
