Assistant/Associate Professor Nuclear Energy Technology
Job Summary
The Department of Process & Energy at TU Delft is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor in Nuclear Energy Technology, focusing on thermodynamics and transport phenomena for nuclear energy conversion systems. The role involves advancing research on nuclear energy systems, including dynamic analysis, flow and heat transfer in components, and development of next-generation cycles with advanced fluids and thermal storage.
Responsibilities
- Develop educational modules and supervise BSc, MSc, and PhD students.
- Lead in project acquisition, management of research, education, and organizational responsibilities related to nuclear energy.
- Play an active role in national and international networks, institutions, and consortia in nuclear energy systems.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Hold a PhD degree in mechanical, chemical, or nuclear engineering, applied physics, or a related field.
- Expertise in thermodynamics and transport phenomena, with a focus on application-oriented research in nuclear energy systems.
- Knowledge of the Dutch nuclear and energy landscape is a strong asset.
